About the role
The SAP Production Planning Super User is a critical resource supporting production planning functions. This role bridges the gap between functional teams and the technical SAP team, ensuring smooth operations, process alignment, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Map end-to-end planning processes and maintain accurate documentation.
- Standardize workflows across sourcing, production, demand, and supply planning.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and governance standards.
- Develop and deliver training programs for SAP planning functionalities.
- Act as a mentor and first point of contact for planning teams.
- Support change management during SAP upgrades or process redesigns.
- Serve as the primary liaison for SAP-related issues within planning groups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system errors, data discrepancies, and integration challenges.
- Escalate technical issues to IT and ensure timely resolution.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement best practices and optimize planning efficiency.
- Participate in testing new functionalities and validating system changes.
- Lead/Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing for SAP upgrades and enhancements for the planning group.
- Validate configuration changes and ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Document test results and communicate findings to technical and functional teams.
- Work closely with sourcing, manufacturing, quality, demand planning, and supply planning teams.
- Partner with IT, procurement, commercial, operations, and logistics teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Facilitate workshops and feedback sessions to align business and system needs.
Qualifications
