SAP HCM Payroll Consultant

About the role

This position is based in Jackson, MI, with the option to work remotely within the USA and requires travel as needed. Only candidates currently located in the United States will be considered. The role is open to U.S. Citizens and U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents (Green Card holders); sponsorship is not available at this time.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support to SAP HCM modules including Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Benefits, US Payroll and Time Management.
• Design and optimize organizational structures, enterprise structures and time policies to meet business requirements.
• Configure and customize PA, OM, Benefits, US Payroll and Time Management modules to align with business processes.
• Work closely with business teams to understand system needs and enhancements.
• Understand and support custom solutions designed and implemented for non‑standard solutions.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and HR policies.
• Support workflow automation for HR processes.
• Manage time evaluation, US Payroll, and integration with other third‑party applications.
• Troubleshoot issues related to Payroll, Benefits, time recording, time data processing and shift scheduling.

Requirements

• Hands‑on experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4 HANA HCM.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes and business rules.
• Experience with schema modifications, PCRs (Personnel Calculation Rules), Payroll and time evaluation.
• Proven expertise in SAP Payroll implementation and support.
• SAP certification in HCM.
