About the role

This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the production area in accordance with USDA, HACCP, and QA pre-op protocols. This position will be required to use high pressure hose, chemical solutions, assemble/unassembled lines, and equipment as required for proper cleaning and sanitizing. This position must also clean equipment, lines, machines, floors, ceiling, lighting fixtures, fans, take out trash. This position will be required to be obtain LOTO (lockout tagout), fall protection, PIT (if needed) training, also. This position will be exposed to possible warm or cold temperatures, wet, humid, or dusty conditions. This position will require walking, bending, standing, and lifting up to 70 pounds on a frequent basis, and any other duties assigned by Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all assigned work duties prior to the end of shift while maintaining a safe work environment
  • Use high pressure hose, chemical solutions, assemble/unassembled lines, and equipment as required for proper cleaning and sanitizing
  • Clean equipment, lines, machines, floors, ceiling, lighting fixtures, fans, take out trash
  • Obtain LOTO (lockout tagout), fall protection, PIT (if needed) training
  • Work in various weather conditions including warm or cold temperatures, wet, humid, or dusty environments
  • Perform tasks such as walking, bending, standing, and lifting up to 70 pounds on a frequent basis

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Training in LOTO (lockout tagout), fall protection, and PIT (if needed)
  • Knowledge of USDA, HACCP, and QA pre-op protocols
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in food processing or related field preferred

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow safety protocols
  • Basic computer skills
