Salesforce/nCino Business Analyst

About the Role

This position is responsible for executing strategic projects to enhance the capabilities of the Salesforce and nCino platform. The individual works closely with business lines and technology colleagues to elicit, capture, and translate business requirements into technical specifications for the development team. This highly visible role directly impacts the organization and its internal and external customers. The successful candidate must have commercial lending experience, a continuous improvement mindset, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and deep-dive sessions to understand and document current state, pain points, and opportunities for system or process improvement.
• Document current and future state processes using process flow diagrams and other design tools.
• Provide thought leadership in brainstorming, design, and solution meetings with business users and technology teams.
• Serve as the voice of end users to ensure system functionality meets business needs.
• Act as a subject matter expert on development projects from inception to ensure designs and implementations align with business requirements.
• Capture and expand user stories to translate business requirements into technical specifications for the development team.
• Write acceptance criteria and test scripts to validate new functionality throughout development and release management.
• Perform analysis and research of system dependencies to reduce process issues.
• Manage testing coordination, execution, and sign-off with teams and end-users, including independent testing and delegation.
• Assist with change management activities and documentation.
• Assist with prioritization of project backlogs to maximize business value and influence the broader system/product backlog.
• Partner closely with area and functional product owners to keep them informed on project details and progress.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in business or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with or knowledge of multiple types of lending (e.g., institutional, middle market, business banking, small business) preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in commercial lending support across one or more areas of the loan lifecycle.
• 1-2 years of experience using Salesforce/nCino or other digital loan origination applications.
• Project management experience or experience leading teams and/or projects.
• Knowledge of system testing concepts.
• Ability to plan, multi-task, manage time effectively, and work independently with limited direction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills for non-technical audiences.

Pay

This position offers a base salary range of $71,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually. Placement within the range may vary based on skills, experience, and geographic location. The role is also eligible for incentive compensation, including production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
