Position Summary We are seeking a proactive and business-focused Salesforce Business Systems Analyst to serve as the primary functional owner of the organization’s Salesforce platform and related CRM capabilities. Reporting to IT leadership, this role is responsible for ensuring Salesforce effectively supports business operations through configuration, process optimization, integration management, and continuous improvement. The BSA will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and external vendors for all Salesforce-related initiatives, translating operational needs into scalable system solutions while maintaining platform stability, data integrity, and user adoption. This role owns the day-to-day lifecycle of the Salesforce environment, including enhancements, automation, integrations, support coordination, governance, and training. While Salesforce is the primary responsibility, this position may also support other enterprise systems as needed within a small, collaborative IT team. The ideal candidate combines strong Salesforce expertise with business process knowledge and the ability to influence outcomes across departments in a dynamic, multi-site organization. Key Responsibilities: Business Partnership & System OwnershipServe as the primary functional owner of the Salesforce environment, ensuring the platform reliably supports business operationsConfigure and maintain objects, fields, page layouts, security settings, and system featuresDesign and implement automation using Salesforce Flows and other native toolsMonitor platform health, usage, and performanceManage releases, testing, and deployment of changes and maintain overall system stability and scalability Business Process & Solution DeliveryPartner with business stakeholders to understand admissions, business development, and operational processesTranslate business needs into effective Salesforce solutions and configurationsIdentify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual work, and improve data captureLead functional aspects of enhancements, new capabilities, and process improvementsAdvise leadership on best practices and platform capabilities Integrations & Data ManagementCoordinate and support integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems including call tracking and contact center solutionsTroubleshoot integration issues with vendors or technical partnersEstablish and maintain data quality standards, validation rules, and governance practices within SalesforceMonitor data integrity, duplicate management, and consistency across recordsSupport data imports, migrations, and cleanup initiativesEnsure accuracy and reliability of reports, dashboards, and downstream data usage User Support & AdoptionServe as the primary escalation point for Salesforce-related issues and requestsSupport user onboarding, training, and ongoing adoption of new featuresDevelop and maintain documentation, job aids, and knowledge base materialsGather feedback from users to improve usability and effectiveness Vendor Coordination & GovernanceCoordinate with Salesforce partners, consultants, and third-party vendorsParticipate in roadmap planning, upgrades, and new module implementationsEnsure changes follow appropriate testing, change control, and communication practicesMaintain awareness of Salesforce updates and recommend relevant capabilities Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field – OR – Equivalent work experience and relevant certifications3–7 years of experience supporting enterprise business applications, with significant hands-on experience in Salesforce administration or functional supportDemonstrated ownership of a CRM platform or major application, including configuration, enhancements, and operational supportExperience partnering with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into system solutionsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and process mapping skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and initiatives in a fast-moving environmentExcellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesExperience coordinating with vendors, consultants, or managed service providersFamiliarity with structured service management, change management, or project delivery practices Preferred Skills: Hands-on administration of Salesforce (Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud)Experience configuring objects, fields, security, page layouts, and system settingsExperience designing and maintaining automation using Salesforce FlowsExperience with reports, dashboards, and data management within SalesforceExperience supporting or coordinating integrations between Salesforce and other systemsFamiliarity with data quality management, duplicate control, and validation strategiesSalesforce certifications (e.g., Administrator) preferredExperience supporting healthcare/regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA) preferred Work Environment and Physical Requirements This is a remote position requiring a combination of remote work and some in-office attendance based on business needs and company policy.Work is primarily performed in a professional office and/or home office environment.Requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer, including frequent use of a keyboard, mouse, and multiple computer monitors.Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone, video conferencing, and in person.Requires the ability to review, analyze, and interpret data, reports, and electronic documents with attention to detail.May occasionally be required to move or transport office materials weighing up to 15 pounds.Requires the ability to remain stationary for extended periods while performing analytical and administrative tasks.Must be able to travel occasionally to the office, meetings, training sessions, or other company locations, as needed.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position. Compensation Starting compensation range of $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually. Exact compensation will be determined by experience, education, licensure/certifications, and location, in accordance with applicable laws.
