About the Opportunity
This role is responsible for managing and optimizing the organization’s Salesforce Government Cloud environment. The Salesforce Administrator, Federal ensures compliance with federal regulations and security requirements, supports federal sales and operations teams, and maintains data integrity and platform functionality. The position directly impacts the effectiveness and security of federal customer engagement and internal processes.
Responsibilities
- Administer the Salesforce Government Cloud org, ensuring proper configuration and compliance with FedRAMP and CUI handling.
- Manage user access through profiles, permission sets, roles, and license assignments following least-privilege principles.
- Develop enhancements using declarative Salesforce tools and coordinate integration updates within GovCloud constraints.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards for federal sales, operations, and compliance stakeholders.
- Conduct routine platform maintenance including data quality management and sandbox and release management.
- Support Salesforce Shield controls and produce necessary compliance documentation for audits.
- Manage the intake and resolution of federal Salesforce requests according to service levels.
- Gather requirements, design solutions, and lead user acceptance testing for federal Salesforce features.
- Maintain thorough documentation and configuration standards for the Salesforce environment.
- Serve as subject-matter expert on federal Salesforce use, advising on best practices and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Seven or more years of professional experience as a Salesforce administrator or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Active Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM-201) with mastery of declarative platform features.
- Experience with Salesforce administration in compliance-driven environments and audit support.
- U.S. Person status with ability to handle CUI and work within Salesforce Government Cloud/FedRAMP.
- Strong skills in data management, including quality, imports, and deduplication.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage priorities independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Advanced Administrator (ADM-211) or Platform App Builder certification.
- Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud, Salesforce Shield, and FedRAMP environments.
- Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks relevant to CRM.
- Experience supporting federal or public-sector sales processes.
- Exposure to Revenue Cloud/CPQ, Agentforce, or Salesforce integrations in multi-unit settings.
- Experience in high-growth or startup environments.
Pay
Base salary range: $128,445 to $183,450 USD. Total compensation includes base, bonus, equity, and additional benefits. Compensation varies based on education, experience, location, and market data.
