About the role

Satair is seeking a Sales Specialist- Used Parts to join our Customer Support Team in Herndon, Virginia. This role supports the sales of used aircraft parts and services to operators, lessors, and repair shops within Satair PTE Ltd's sales.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to Satair's quality policy, goals, and procedures, and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Engage in strategy development and execution, and run/run sales and activity plans in collaboration with Product Management.
  • Drive sales campaigns and collaborate with Product Management team on Satair's strategic developments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, providing high-quality responses to all customer-related requests for spare parts and related services.
  • Manage customer order backlogs, address customer complaints, and coordinate with all relevant departments involved in spares ordering activities.
  • Coordinate regular account meetings with responsible departments to share information and monitor customer activities, including discussing order-related issues to prevent problems.
  • Measure and apply key performance indicators to supervise material order activity and produce reports for customers, account team, and management.
  • Travel up to 5% internationally and domestically for business purposes.

Requirements

  • Equipped with a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Production or equivalent experience, with 3+ years of assigned territory sales experience.
  • Experience within logistics, supply chain, customer service, or aviation industry.
  • Technical and process-oriented background with the ability to understand and interpret technical documentation and drawings.
  • Knowledge of used parts ordering, planning, pricing, and provisioning.
  • Excellent understanding of G-suite applications and SAP.
  • Shipping knowledge, including INCO terms.

Qualifications

  • Able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, read documents, reports, and engineering drawings.
  • Able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone, hear safety warnings or alarms.
  • Able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information, and participate in communications.
  • Able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
  • Able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • Able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
  • Able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
  • Able to travel independently and at short notice.
  • Able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
  • Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Skills

  • Technical and process-oriented background.
  • Understanding of used parts ordering, planning, pricing, and provisioning.

Pay

$75,000 - $85,000/year.

Schedule

Hybrid Working, with 80% onsite and 20% remote.
