Parts Sales Specialist
About the role
The Parts Sales Specialist assists all customers and technicians in securing needed parts and supplies. They are accountable for achieving monthly sales and gross profit forecasts and seeking out parts sales. This role works with customers, outside salespersons, and technicians to fulfill parts requirements under general supervision.
Essential Functions
- Assists in preparing invoices for all over-the-counter sales and billing parts to repair orders issued to shops.
- Maintains stock levels, receives, ships parts, and issues local purchase orders.
- Addresses customer needs and issues promptly, escalating complex issues to supervisor.
- Maintains a neat and clean appearance in the customer parts area and parts warehouse.
- Enters lost sales into the inventory system to ensure proper stock levels.
- Fulfills safety responsibilities, follows safe work practices, uses safety equipment, and reports any damage to company equipment or property immediately.
- Assists with inventory management activities as directed by supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- One-year automotive parts-related work experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and requests in a timely manner.
