About the role

The Sales Specialist supports the outside sales team by performing various administrative duties and providing customer service. This role is based in Duluth, GA and reports to the Sales Manager or other management designee.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the outside sales team by processing and managing transactional quotes and orders.
  • Responds promptly and accurately to quotation requests, leads, and inquiries.
  • Closes business by following up on proposals and resolving account problems.
  • Researches and resolves account issues.
  • Works closely with customers and operations to enhance the customer experience.
  • Performs client research, prospecting, and networking as needed.
  • Provides marketing support for events such as webinars, lunch and learns, open houses, and technical seminars.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior relevant experience and/or training in sales or administrative support.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of prioritizing and organizing workload efficiently.
  • Effective communication and interaction skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic MS Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work in a customer-focused and quality-driven environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience supporting a sales team.
  • Knowledge of Intertek's Total Quality Assured services.
