About the Team
The Solution Engineer team at VTEX is a core part of the sales organization, acting as both the technical backbone and strategic advisor throughout the pre-sales process. This team collaborates closely with Sales, System Integrators, and Professional Services to design scalable, future-proof solutions that meet the unique needs of each potential client. Team members combine strong software development and system architecture skills with a deep understanding of digital commerce and a sales-driven, business-oriented mindset.
About the Role
As a Solution Engineer at VTEX, you will be a key player in the sales process, working alongside Account Executives to support technical discovery, solution design, and client alignment throughout the pre-sales journey. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen, with strong knowledge of commerce (both B2B and B2C) being essential to succeed. You will engage directly with senior IT and business stakeholders, guiding them through complex digital transformation discussions and crafting tailored, technically feasible solutions that address both strategic goals and operational challenges.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the VTEX platform and its capabilities
- Respond to RFPs
- Develop technical documentation
- Build proof of concepts (PoCs)
- Lead technical conversations through to contract signature
- Facilitate a thorough handover of project context and documentation to the Customer Experience (CX) team to ensure a smooth implementation
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer
- Deep knowledge in B2B and B2C Commerce
- Experience in pre-selling or selling enterprise SaaS solutions (preferably in the commerce landscape) and technical knowledge for platform and integration models via API
- Fluent in English
- Plus if fluent in French, Spanish and/or Portuguese

- Ability to work multi-functionally with colleagues and managers, internally and externally
- Ability to translate complexity into action plans and communications
- Ability to translate the customers' needs into business and architectural solutions
