About the role
Sales Representative, Architectural
Location: Salt Lake City, UT/Boise, ID
What you will be doing:
- Identify key architectural, design, and engineering firms that work on institutional project types tied to our core vertical markets including Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12 Education, and Government markets.
- Cultivate consulting relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers.
- Identify and secure opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications.
- Provide timely and accurate product information for use in commercial project specifications.
- Deliver targeted continuing educational programs highlighting new products, solutions, and design-assist professional services.
- Auxiliary tasks include assisting with product substitution and approval procedures and following up to ensure specifications are held in the bid process.
- Utilize Salesforce.com as a customer relationship, project tracking, and time management tool.

- Ability to travel within an assigned territory and meet the requirements of customers.
- Ability to perform responsibilities both in a home office environment or while traveling.
- You can lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations.
- Ability to visit, on occasion, factory assembly floors as part of customer experiences.
- Ability to attend and participate in all-day, internal, collaborative sales meetings in a dynamic, open workspace.
Education and/or experience:
- Your background includes a College/University degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: architectural, design/engineering/drafting, construction science/management, business, or similar), or have work experience commensurate with, minimum high school/GED diploma.
- At least 2-3 years’ industry related experience in architectural representation, specification writing, or Design-Build construction management, will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
- Working knowledge of industry-related software is a plus.
