Job Overview

Responsibilities

  • Represent Rasmussen Mechanical Services as the preferred mechanical service provider for customers, employees, and business partners.
  • Develop and maintain job cost accounting to support timely reviews of project effectiveness and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal legal requirements and maintain the highest level of business ethics.
  • Perform sales activities, including travel with occasional overnight stays.
  • Prepare estimates for equipment, materials, projects, and services and develop proposals for customer presentation.
  • Lead by example through compliance with RMS safety policies and ensure safety measures are included in project planning and proposals.
  • Challenge existing processes and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Cookordination and manage field crews to maximize productivity and minimize downtime on assigned projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience required.
  • Professional and industry-specific certifications and licenses preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in mechanical systems, construction, or related technical services.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven.
  • Strong customer-service orientation with consultative selling capability.
  • Ability to communicate and sell both services and equipment solutions.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of office and project management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and adoption of new methods and technology.

Physical & Mental Requirements

  • Ability to lift 25–30 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and operate business equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, spell, calculate, and communicate clearly in English.
  • Strong prioritization, multitasking, and stress-management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
