Sales Porter

About the role

Sales Porters clean new and used vehicles and deliver vehicles as needed. This role will run errands when needed (e.g., pickup customers, mail, deliver parts, etc.) and fill in for vacation and when shorthanded in sales and service. Sales Porters also maintain the lot and check vehicles before going home to ensure they are locked and no damage has been done.

Responsibilities

• Clean new and used vehicles
• Deliver vehicles as needed
• Run errands (e.g., pickup customers, mail, deliver parts)
• Fill in for vacation and staffing shortages in sales and service
• Maintain the vehicle lot
• Check vehicles at the end of the day to ensure they are locked and undamaged
• Drive across surrounding states to pick up vehicles
• Provide a positive impression to customers

Requirements

• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• Ability to drive manual transmission
• Manual dexterity
• Good judgment
• Ability to handle machinery safely
• Outgoing personality and ability to give a good impression to customers
