Responsibilities
- Lead business development for the boutique by creating and developing client relationships through all interactions:
- Develop excellent client relationships by creating memorable moments for clients and boutique visitors.
- Drive the sales and care service team to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Master boutique business knowledge and assess local market opportunities to implement proactive sales strategies.
- Implement client strategies to develop genuine relationships, increasing business opportunities.
- Partner with boutique leadership and team on CRM efforts, including client outreach, data capture, and repurchase rate.
- Lead and promote networking activities for the boutique team.
- Serve as the point of contact for visiting stylists and press photo shoots in partnership with the PR team.
- Develop Prestige Partnership strategies to increase prestige sales and further the VIP client strategy.
- Support sales and care service teams on escalated client matters to ensure optimal solutions.
- Partner with boutique management, regional, and corporate teams to ensure boutique success:
- Determine, communicate, and monitor individual and team KPIs alongside boutique management.
- Collaborate with corporate departments (Retail, Merchandising, Marketing, etc.) to communicate key messages and business needs.
- Lead or delegate boutique projects as needed (inventories, audit preparation, etc.).
- Partner with the Operations Manager to ensure operational fluidity and optimize controllable costs.
- Prepare regular sales reporting and analysis, including monthly qualitative business development reports.
- Participate in daily boutique setup and breakdown for opening and closing, as needed.
- Team Development and Management:
- Motivate and support boutique staff.
- Communicate strategic brand initiatives through regular team meetings, ensuring staff awareness of Maison strategies, targets, client experience best practices, and industry news.
- Educate and inspire the team with Maison knowledge, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
- Perform administrative and HR tasks, including commission accuracy checks, scheduling, payroll, and overtime management.
- Actively recruit and maintain a talent pipeline.
- Identify training and coaching opportunities for the sales team and partner with boutique management and corporate partners to implement plans.
- Lead the performance management process through regular individual meetings, including biannual performance reviews.
- Assess potential and propose development opportunities in partnership with boutique management, HR, and Career Committees.
- Be a Maison Ambassador:
- Uphold Cartier standards by projecting a professional and approachable image in appearance, manner, and demeanor.
- Create a positive and productive boutique environment by leveraging personal and team savoir-faire to foster collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (a plus).
- Additional language skills (a plus).
- 8-10 years of management experience, especially in luxury retail or hospitality.
- Required experience in managing direct reports.
- Availability to work retail hours (including weekends), travel for training, client events, etc.
- Previous experience with SAP (preferred).
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Enthusiastic approach with clients and colleagues.
- Entrepreneurial spirit to develop business and build long-lasting client relationships.
- Creativity in motivating and developing a team.
