Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers, serving as a trusted advisor and industry resource.
- Identify customer needs, define buying cycles, and guide clients through the evaluation and selection of process equipment solutions.
- Manage the full opportunity pipeline within the CRM system, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely updates on project timelines and open orders.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and technical presentations tailored to customer requirements.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements while protecting organizational interests.
- Achieve or exceed established sales targets, including capture rate objectives.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive activity through conferences, trade shows, and ongoing market engagement.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, project management, procurement, and quality teams to develop accurate pricing and deliver effective solutions.
- Support project managers by facilitating timely responses to project changes and customer requests.
- Partner with service and consumables teams to identify opportunities for cross-selling aftermarket products, replacement parts, and service agreements.
- Provide regular reporting to leadership including sales forecasts, pipeline activity, competitive insights, and market feedback.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support business objectives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, preferably in industrial manufacturing or process equipment environments.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex solutions to both technical and business audiences.
- Highly organized with strong time management and follow-through.
- Customer-focused mindset with proven relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP systems is beneficial.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
- Electrical or Controls background is a plus.
