What You'll Do...
- Cook up quoting and service activities in line with our established company protocols and project management standards.
- Develop detailed and accurate proposals utilizing internal technical resources and input from the Sales and Engineering teams.
- Keep track of all active request for quotations, ensuring prompt delivery and communication of any scheduling or resource conflicts.
- Prepare and incorporate compliance documents for specifications received with RFQs, addressing exceptions and clarifications as necessary.
- Utilize our quote tools to calculate labor and material costs for new projects and change orders.
- Affirm proposals are conceptually solid, clearly define deliverables, and align with our terms of payment and completion standards.
- Enter and maintain proposal data in our QuoteLog system, tracking status and key project details.
- Inspect customer purchase orders for consistency with quoted terms and report any discrepancies to management.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of quoting tools, templates, and estimating processes.
- Participate in customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed to support sales and relationship development.
What you'll need to succeed...
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is required.
- Prior experience in estimating, sales, project coordination, or technical proposal development is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and clarity.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and AutoCAD; familiarity with VBA or Visual Basic is a plus.
- A basic understanding of industrial controls, automation systems, and related components.
- Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
- A team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and customer service.
- The ability to identify process improvements and contribute to continuous enhancement efforts.
- Must hold a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds; some lifting may be required from knee to shoulder height or other levels.
- Ability to carry and transport up to 60 pounds for short distances (up to 20 feet).
- Work may take place in varied environments that can be cold, hot, noisy, or wet, and may include exposure to odors or fumes.
