Sales Director - Banking & Financial Services

Based in the New York/New Jersey area, the Sales Director will be an integral part of the Sales Team, reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer, and play a fundamental role in driving client acquisition and revenue growth in the Banking & Financial Services (BFS) sector.
Responsibilities
- Make first impressions with C-level executives, SVP/VPs, and Managing Directors across Retail/Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, Risk & Compliance, and Enterprise Data & AI in top financial institutions.
- Build strategic partnerships with major cloud ecosystem and platform leaders (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Leverage experience in sales within the US/Canada market.
- Deliver high-impact presentations and tailored solution pitches showcasing AI, Generative AI, Risk/Fraud Analytics, and Data Platform Modernization capabilities.
- Actively participate in relevant industry conferences (e.g., Money20/20, Sibos, ABA Financial Technology Summit), executive roundtables, and regional BFS events.
- Generate qualified leads and transition those leads to multi-million-dollar long-term accounts across banks, fintechs, asset managers, and financial services providers.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in client-facing sales, account management, or business development roles within technology consulting and data/AI services.
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline; Master's Degree or MBA a plus.
- Deep expertise selling Analytics, Big Data, Cloud, and AI solutions specifically into US Fortune 500 Banking, Financial Services, or Fintech enterprise clients (revenues > $1 billion).
- Industry focus in Banking & Financial Services domains: Commercial & Retail Banking, Credit Risk Modeling, Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Fraud Detection, Wealth & Asset Management, Capital Markets, and Customer 360/Personalization.
- Strong understanding of modern financial data architectures, governance, regulatory expectations (e.g., CCAR, CECL, BCBS 239), and enterprise security frameworks.
- Ability to navigate complex banking organizational hierarchies, procurement cycles, and vendor risk management assessments.
- Excellent relationship-building and management skills with senior business and technology stakeholders up to the C-suite.
- Results-oriented, innovative, and energetic team player with an entrepreneurial mindset and extreme accountability for revenue targets.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills tailored for executive audiences.
- Willingness to travel across major North American hubs as needed to drive client relationships.
- Cross-cultural and onshore-offshore delivery model experience working with globally distributed presales, domain, and delivery teams.
- Prior experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, ZohoCRM, HubSpot).
