About the role

Cvent is seeking Sales Development Representatives to join our dynamic team. This role will start in August 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact and provide product information to prospective customers
  • Lead identification and qualification
  • Partner with Senior Sales Team to achieve new business quotas
  • Attend industry events to meet with prospective customers
  • Drive traffic to Cvent seminars and online demonstrations
  • Provide feedback for product enhancements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials
  • 1-2 years of full-time work experience—preferably in sales
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong sense of initiative and personal leadership
  • Ability to work within a team to achieve goals
  • Strong business acumen, ethics, and high integrity
  • Excel at developing relationships over the phone
  • Able to handle high outbound call volume (50-60 calls/day) with correspondingly high talk time
  • Must be articulate, organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
  • Able to work off-site up to 50% of the time which will be mostly comprised of attending events that will be local to Las Vegas, NV though travel to alternate event locations throughout the US will be required
  • Proactive in conducting high-volume, on-site outreach by walking an expo floor to identify and approach target exhibitors; deliver a concise value proposition, ask discovery questions, capture contact details, qualify interest, and set post-show meetings for Sales Executives
  • Able to stand and walk expo floors for extended periods and navigate crowded environments; willing to work occasional early/late hours aligned to show schedules and networking events
  • Comfortable initiating face-to-face conversations while demonstrating professionalism; able to handle a high volume of conversations while exercising resilience
  • Track record of meeting daily activity goals in field environments (e.g., conversations, qualified leads, meetings set) with minimal supervision
