Sales Development Representative (SDR)

About the role

Sanity.io is a modern, flexible content operating system that treats content as data. We empower teams to model, create, and automate content efficiently, driving digital development and content operations efficiency. Our platform is used by companies such as SKIMS, Figma, Riot Games, Anthropic, COMPLEX, Nordstrom, and Morningbrew.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with and qualify prospects through outreach channels including phone, email, and LinkedIn.
  • Uncover business challenges and qualify leads to build a strong, high-quality pipeline.
  • Become a product expert, developing a deep understanding of Sanity's platform and its 'content to data' approach.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine messaging and ensure smooth opportunity handovers.
  • Use Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn, and other engagement tools to manage your pipeline, track progress, and optimize your workflow.
  • Document and relay insights from your conversations to help shape Sanity's sales motion and product roadmap.

Requirements

  • Based in the United States.
  • Driven and motivated by a quota.
  • Experience in a Sales Development or SaaS sales role, preferably with technical products or developer tooling.
  • A strong communicator who can adapt messages to different audiences.
  • Naturally collaborative, enjoying working closely with a team and sharing insights.
  • Strategic in thinking, able to identify patterns in customer conversations and refine messaging.
  • Persevering, willing to make consistent effort over time.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Sales Development or SaaS sales role, preferably with technical products or developer tooling.
  • Strong communication skills, able to speak and write well, adapting messages to different audiences.
  • Naturally collaborative, enjoys working closely with a team and sharing insights.
  • Strategic thinker, able to identify patterns in customer conversations and refine messaging.
  • Willing to persevere, making consistent effort over time.

Skills

  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical concepts.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce).
  • Experience with LinkedIn and email marketing platforms.
