Sales Development Representative
About the role
Cockroach Labs is seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and support of CockroachDB, a distributed SQL database.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality software components for CockroachDB
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and sales
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of CockroachDB through testing, debugging, and performance tuning
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers and partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with distributed systems and SQL databases
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
Skills
- Proficiency in version control systems (Git)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of data modeling and database design principles

Location
We have offices in San Francisco, CA, London, UK, and Amsterdam, Netherlands. Remote-based designations are exclusively reserved for in-region required roles in Field Sales, Sales Engineering, and Enterprise Architecture. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis on rare occasions for niche and/or expert roles at the executive team’s discretion.
