Sales Clerk NF-01.

Provides customer service in a retail sales environment, demonstrating and selling specialized merchandise to customers. May operate a cash register, process transactions (including change, charges, and layaway), and maintain accurate sales records. Responsible for stocking shelves, displaying goods, and keeping the sales area neat and orderly. Performs other assigned duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in a retail sales setting.
• Demonstrate and sell specialized merchandise to customers.
• Operate a cash register, make change, and complete charge and layaway transactions.
• Maintain merchandise by stocking shelves, displaying goods, and ensuring the sales area is neat and orderly.
• Keep accurate sales records as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
• Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for the position.
• Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Males born after December 31, 1959, must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (see www.sss.gov).
• Position, duty hours, location, and/or activity are subject to change based on mission requirements.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Resumes must be two pages or less and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.
• Knowledge of basic math is required.
