Sales Clerk

About the role

Provide superior friendly service “Gold Standard”. Assist customers in making their selection. Answer phone calls quickly and professionally. Provide customers with the correct product information. Assist with recovery throughout the store, keeping the store clean. Help maintain the inventory levels and reordering. Check UPC codes and SKU’s so they are correct and updated as needed. Ensure sales signage is posted at the product during specified promotions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and welcome them to the store.
• Sell products and suggest options that fit their needs.
• Answer phone calls quickly and professionally.
• Provide instruction on using products.
• Check customers out when they are finished shopping.
• Assist with recovery throughout the store, keeping the store clean.
• Help maintain the inventory levels and reordering.
• Check UPC codes and SKU’s so they are correct and updated as needed.
• Ensure sales signage is posted at the product during specified promotions.

Requirements

• Friendly and approachable, willing to engage customers.
• Positive attitude.
• Good listener.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and assist with heavier team lifts.
• Work well with others harmoniously to reach goals.
• Basic math skills sufficient to handle cash transactions.

Qualifications

• Attend workshops, seminars and market trade shows.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
