Sales Associate, Kohler Gardener

About the Role

The Sales Associate I provides guest assistance with product selection, recommendations, purchases, and returns/exchanges while maintaining store cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities

• Greet, welcome, and assist guests with purchasing needs and educate them on products and services.
• Maintain store organization by ensuring size runs are complete and merchandise is properly located, folded, or hung.
• Learn about products through vendor presentations and team meetings.
• Perform store maintenance tasks: cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, sweeping, and garbage removal.
• Promote retail offerings, in-shop promotions, and inform guests of events.
• Handle cashiering duties: opening/closing registers, processing sales (cash, credit, gift certificates), coupons, discounts, and end-of-day reports.
• Assist with shipment checks, reporting discrepancies to supervisors.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and reconciliation.
• Tag new merchandise and prepare it for the sales floor.
• Promote the Destination Kohler Resort and Village of Kohler, including van services, directions, restaurants, and hours of operation.
• Complete other assigned tasks within the job scope.

Requirements

• Retail experience preferred, with prior cash handling experience.
• Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, squat, reach, twist, and carry up to 25+ lbs.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $12.40 - $18.60. The specific rate may vary based on factors such as education and work location.

Schedule

Part-time, casual position with shifts between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, including weekdays and weekends.
