Responsibilities
- Manage customer base and represent the company for the sale of machinery to customers in the defined sales area (Boone Co.)
- Identify new customers, understand their business or needs, and develop plans and actions for defined sales area
- Sell both residential and commercial turf products, as well as compact construction equipment and some hay products in Boone Co. and surrounding areas
- Communicate with management on a consistent basis
- Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership
- Follow the defined sales process
- Maintain showroom equipment by keeping organized and presentable (i.e., keep clean, properly labeled, MRSPs, etc.)
- Assist with the preparation and execution of drive green events
- Conduct new/used equipment demonstrations for customers to ensure proper operations of the equipment
- Participate in Sales EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
- Work with Store Manager and Corporate Sales Manager to create annual Sales goals and budget in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives and goals
- Follow credit policies, collection of payment policies, and assist with managing cyber and fraud risk for the company
- Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used equipment or goods
- Monitor trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicate to management and/or customers
- Provide positive and excellent communication to parts and service departments and phone customers
- Connect and work with all personnel in specific location and all locations; network with other sales staff to talk ideas, questions, concerns, etc. to develop, learn, and continue communication
- Build product and market knowledge to add understanding and credibility
- Become primary contact between your customers and Reynolds Farm Equipment including deliveries, forecasting, credit, complaint handling, etc.
- Strictly follow all company policies which includes safety & cash/check handling
- Attend applicable sales training events and seminars
- Handle day-to-day operations and all tasks in a fast-paced environment and other duties assigned in the sales aspect
Requirements
- 1+ years equipment sales experience; demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics preferred
- Proficient knowledge of data entry/keyboarding skills; Communicates effectively verbally and written while working cooperatively in a team environment; skills in computing full details and proper paperwork without hesitation
- Knowledge of lawn and garden, turf, off road, outdoor power equipment preferred
- Exceptional ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions; experience using sales workflow applications preferred
- Knowledge of office procedures; Clear and proactive communication skills along with exceptional ability to use phone systems with quality phone etiquette
- Able to work extended hours and weekends and in a fast-paced environment; adaptable and flexible
- Absolutely requires attention to detail and being careful along with being thorough in completing tasks
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Basic understanding of mechanical/technical terms
- Excellent negotiation/conflict resolutions skills
- Reliable transportation to arrive on time
- Requires being reliable, responsible, accountable, and dependable in fulfilling obligations
- Unwavering commitment to confidentiality
- Able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience preferred
