Job Summary

Earl May Garden Center is seeking a part-time sales associate for their location in Omaha, Nebraska. Part-time employment may lead to a full-time opportunity.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have high energy and a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, be a self-starter, have a strong work ethic, strong decision-making and leadership skills, be sales-driven, have previous experience working in a retail or service environment, be able to lift 50 pounds, and be able to work variable hours/shifts. A valid driver's license is required. Horticulture knowledge or landscape experience is a plus, but training will be provided to the right candidate. Previous management, sales, and landscape design experience are a definite plus for full-time positions.

Responsibilities

  • Engage customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Assist customers with product selection and provide recommendations
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure displays are attractive and organized
  • Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in store events and promotions
  • Support team members as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate shifts
