About the role

The Certified Color Consultant at Sally Beauty is a key position responsible for maximizing sales and fostering customer loyalty through expert hair color consultations and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide optimal customer experiences to ensure successful hair color goals are achieved.
• Elevate Sally Beauty as the leader in hair color by introducing customers to the Hair Color category and offering professional advice.
• Drive cross-category sales by recommending complementary products during consultations.
• Complete daily operational tasks, including record-keeping, reporting, and handling monetary transactions.
• Support the team in meeting or exceeding hair color sales goals.
• Collaborate with new associates and mentor other staff members to enhance hair color knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with safety and loss prevention policies, and participate in inventory control and hazardous material management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• One year of retail sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Available to meet the business's scheduling needs.
• Knowledgeable in product labels and able to explain them effectively.
• Ability to follow directions and perform other duties as assigned.
• Proficiency with iPads, internet, and social media platforms.
• A professional appearance and positive interaction with the public.
