Sales Application Specialist (Inside Sales)

About the role

The Sales Application Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting customers throughout the sales process by providing application engineering assistance, preparing quotations, troubleshooting product applications, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support and recommend product solutions to customers
• Prepare quotations and process customer orders
• Aid customers with order status, returns, and troubleshooting
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and support sales growth
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction
• Attend occasional trade shows and customer visits (minimal travel)

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
• 2-5 years of experience in technical sales, customer service, inside sales, or a related field preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand technical product applications
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data entry accuracy
• Experience with ERP systems such as CSI, SyteLine, or similar platforms is a plus
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software applications

Pay

This is a salary-exempt position that requires working Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.

Schedule

This position will also require the occasional travel outside of the organization from a minimum of 0-2 weeks per year.
