Sales and Use Tax Manager

Responsibilities
- Work on multiple complex tax engagements
- Contribute to the delivery of innovative sales and use tax planning ideas for diverse clients
- Manage and mentor a team of sales and use tax professionals
- Lead projects involving complex tax audits, managed audits, and recovery of tax overpayments (reverse audits)
- Prepare complex tax research projects for clients in various industries
- Identify and analyze complex tax issues for a variety of entities and their affiliates
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA, CMI, or JD
- 5+ years of state and local tax experience in a public accounting firm, tax services firm, or similar industry
- Experience with indirect (sales & use) tax compliance and consulting
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills
- Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $175,000 in the California and New York Metropolitan areas. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
Schedule
The schedule for this role is flexible to accommodate the needs of the employee and the demands of the work.
