Sales and Use Tax Manager
Position Profile
The Sales and Use Tax Manager will work on multiple complex tax engagements and contribute to the delivery of innovative sales and use tax planning ideas for diverse clients. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA, CMI, or JD
- 5+ years of state and local tax experience in a public accounting firm, tax services firm, or similar industry
- Experience with a focus on indirect (sales & use) tax compliance and consulting
- Prior experience leading projects and a team of sales and use tax professionals
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills
- Proven ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
Compensation and Benefits
A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $175,000 in the California and New York Metropolitan areas. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. In addition to compensation packages, Weaver offers competitive health benefits, such as medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
