About the role

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

The Sales and Business Development Internship is a hands-on summer internship designed to introduce students to the commercial side of the scrap metal recycling business. Interns learn how customer and supplier relationships are developed, how market conditions influence business decisions, and how commercial teammates support profitable business growth across the recycling group. Work alongside commercial teammates and leaders to build foundational knowledge of scrap buying, material grades, market trends, pricing, customer service, logistics, and daily facility operations.
