Safety Support Technician
About the role
The Safety Support Technician needs to be a motivated, detail-oriented, and observant individual who has a passion for safety. This position has a strong understanding of the importance of safety and what it means to the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the organization of the shop including general maintenance and shop clean up.
- Cook and distribute parts for fleet.
- Lubricate and clean fleet equipment, apply decals, license plates, and registration.
- Safely transport fleet equipment across jobsites, yards, and internal shop locations, travel if needed.
- Code and submit all invoices with receipts to accounting.
- Load and unload material on/off of delivery trucks or company vehicles.
- Clean and organize shop work area: sweep and clean work surfaces, store parts, empty and discard garbage. Keep all hazardous waste materials organized and clean.
- May operate power-driven equipment that may be needed to maintain the yard; such as leaf blowers, weed trimmers, and forklifts.
- May perform minor repairs on equipment as directed.
- Comply with company and federal safety rules, policies and procedures to include wearing required safety equipment, PPE, responding to safety concerns and taking appropriate action.
- May be required to handle hazardous materials.
Requirements
- Valid Class C Driver License with no driving restrictions; Class A Preferred.
- Ability to travel extensively including overnight stays.
- Ability to drive for extended periods of time.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Basic understanding of construction safety.
- Knowledge of Cal/OSHA or OSHA standards.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to inspect equipment preferred.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum: 2 years of experience in construction, safety, or warehouse/inventory roles. Utility construction experience a plus.
Skills

- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Pay
Pay: $27.00 - $34.00 per hour
