About the Role
U-Haul is looking for skilled Preventive Maintenance Technicians to ensure the newest fleet in the industry remains in top condition for our customers. You will perform preventive maintenance on Ford and GMC trucks, working with the latest equipment and proprietary technology. Responsibilities
- Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
- Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes, and replace minor parts.
- Perform tire and brake maintenance.
- Occasionally road-test vehicles.
- Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
- Assist in additional areas as directed by your supervisor.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
- Basic computer skills.
- Regular attendance.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
- Capability to move frequently, stand, sit, and work beneath equipment.
Work Environment
The role involves manual labor and requires the ability to work safely and remain alert at all times. You may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, or shields.
