Safety Coordinator

Apply Now Back To Job Listings The individual will work under the supervision of the Safety Director and support safety efforts for projects across Florida, especially between the St. Petersburg and Melbourne region. This role is responsible for overseeing jobsite activities and enforcing established safety strategies. Strong computer skills, a proactive attitude, professional demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential. Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Assist in executing the company’s safety strategy and promoting a zero-accident culture across projectsPrepare and deliver project-specific job site orientationsProvide orientation and instruction for new site personnelMonitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policiesDevelop and conduct Toolbox TalksParticipate in safety meetings and weekly job site progress meetingsConduct incident reporting and investigationsCollect and review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)Perform job site safety auditsShare audit results and safety trends with the Safety Director and Project Management teamParticipate in all required safety trainingManage Safety Data Sheets (SDS)Serve as a safety resource for employees and subcontractors within assigned areasSupport job site safety awareness and implementation of the project Accident Prevention PlanPerform other duties as assigned Requirements And Skills Degree in Safety or a related fieldExperience in a commercial construction environment preferredOSHA 30 certificationTraining or education in Occupational Safety & HealthCPR, First Aid, and AED certificationStrong written, verbal, and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, including ExcelAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentKnowledge of OSHA regulations for the construction industryAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamStrong conflict resolution skills Benefits A 100% Employee-Owned Company, MH Williams offers a competitive benefits package including medical and dental insurance; company-paid life insurance; health reimbursement account; 401(K) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan; paid vacation, sick time and holidays (PTO); professional development; tuition reimbursement; on-site fitness facility; civic activities; and a fun, collaborative spirit and workplace.
