Safety And Security Dispatch

Responsibilities

• Cook up and dispatch the organization's bus and transport fleet on demand.
• Handle emergency communications (CODE MAS, weather notifications), and employee notifications.
• Monitor and execute emergency communication plans.
• Serve as the primary point of contact during critical incidents.
• Draft and manage mass employee notifications and alerts.
• Dispatch Environmental Services staff for urgent cleanups and safety hazards.
• Continuously monitor CCTV feeds.

Requirements

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm, authoritative, and clear under stress.
• Familiarity with mass notification software, radio dispatch systems, CCTV, and Guard Management Software.
• Strong critical-thinking skills to quickly assess situations, prioritize urgent requests, and deploy correct resources.
• Proven ability to manage multiple radio frequencies, phone lines, and software applications simultaneously.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to remain seated at a dispatch workstation for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours) while maintaining a high level of concentration.
• Ability to frequently use computers, multiple monitors, keyboards, radios, telephones, and other communication equipment.
• Ability to continuously observe and interpret multiple CCTV camera feeds and computer displays.
• Ability to hear and clearly communicate through radios, telephones, and face-to-face conversations.
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations requiring immediate decision-making and coordination.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and extended hours during emergencies or staffing shortages.

Work Environment

• Desk work.
