Safety Ambassador

Patrol and Monitoring

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, and staff by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
• Check for signs of unauthorized entry or potential safety hazards.
• Monitor entry and exit points during school hours to prevent unauthorized access, ensuring all visitors sign in and wear identification badges.

Emergency Response and Incident Management

• Respond to emergencies and incidents within the school, providing first aid or assistance until emergency services arrive.

School Policies Enforcement

• Enforce school policies and rules, addressing violations and taking appropriate disciplinary action in coordination with school administration.

Student Supervision

• Supervise students during lunch breaks, recess, and transition periods between classes to prevent bullying and ensure a safe environment.

Equipment Inspection and Maintenance

• Inspect and maintain security equipment, such as metal detectors, surveillance cameras, and communication devices, ensuring they are operational.

Qualifications

• Two years of previous security/safety work required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent experience in special education needs, desired but not required.
• Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, coursework in Public Safety, Psychology, or Conflict Resolution, a plus but not required.
