Job Description

• Prevents workplace accidents and promotes health and safety awareness and education for employees.
• An organizational related support or service (administrative or clerical) role or a role that focuses on support of daily business activities (e.g., technical, clinical, non-clinical) operating in a “hands on” environment.
• The majority of time is spent in the delivery of support services or activities, typically under supervision.
• An entry level role that typically requires little to no prior knowledge or experience, work is routine or follows standard procedures, work is closely supervised, and communicates information that requires little explanation or interpretation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor, screen and welcome staff, patients, and visitors to ensure all who enter are authorized or have legitimate business on the property in accordance with current security levels.
• Provide a high level of customer service by interacting with staff, patients and visitors in a professional, cordial and helpful manner.

Minimum Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior security, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.

• Ability to multi-task and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to assess potentially dangerous situations quickly and make sound decisions based on the information present and takes appropriate action.
• Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
• Courteous telephone manner skills.
• Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization.
• Ability to write routine correspondence, including email, logs, and reports.
• Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures.
• Ability to read and write at a proficient level.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements

• May be exposed to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals who are in or approaching an unauthorized area.
• Keyboarding, basic computer usage and operating controls.
• Able to see and read computers displays, read fine print, and/or normal type size print and distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Sometimes stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, climb stairs, and push/pull objects.
• Frequent contact with patients, visitors, employees, and the general public.

Pay Range

$17.57 - $21.96
