About the role

Hood Packaging Corporation is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager for their Summerville, SC location. The role leads Human Resources and Safety functions for the Summerville facility, serving as a strategic partner to leadership and a trusted resource for all employees.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a strategic partner to leadership and a trusted resource for all employees.
• Oversees key areas including employee relations, wage and hour administration, benefits, EEO, policy development, and compliance with employment laws and company standards.
• Administers site safety programs in alignment with federal, state, and local regulations, while ensuring compliance with HACCP, GMPs, Work Instructions, and SQF requirements.
• Operates with a high level of ownership and accountability, with authority to make decisions that support both people and operational success.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Human Resources management.
• Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
• Experience with payroll and benefits administration.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-F certificated preferred.

Skills

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
