RUNNER (SEASONAL)

About the role

Restaurant Associates is hiring seasonal RUNNER positions at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden (990 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11225). The role involves delivering food to dining patrons in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Delivers food to restaurant/dining room patrons/customers.
• Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.
• Interacts with customers to assure customer satisfaction.
• Interacts with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards.
• Completes side work as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Uses medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
• Uses oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables.
• Uses slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.

Requirements

• Two years of restaurant experience required.
• Previous catering experience preferred.
