Royalty Revenue Analyst

This is a hybrid contract assignment with one of our premier SaaS clients in Lehi, UT.

About the role

The Royalty Revenue Analyst will handle all aspects of royalty revenue accounting, including policies and procedures, contract reviews, bill of materials, month-end and quarter-end close processes, and relationship management with Legal, Sales, FP&A, Business Unit Finance, and other involved organizations.

Responsibilities

• Assume leadership for existing functions supporting the royalty revenue process to ensure accurate and timely accounting in accordance with US GAAP.
• Plan and drive activities related to the royalty revenue function to maintain strong operational and technical competence in revenue accounting.
• Collaborate with teams outside of accounting, including Sales, Legal, and Business Unit Finance groups.
• Serve as the point of contact with external auditors during reviews and audits for royalty revenue and contract-related issues.
• Identify process and system-related opportunities within the royalty revenue function and assist in implementing changes to drive scalability, efficiency, and productivity.
• Participate in cross-functional efforts and training with groups such as Legal, Internal Audit, and Sales to increase awareness of the value-add proposition in working with the royalty revenue group.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Finance/Accounting (or equivalent).
• 3+ years of recent experience in a similar role, ideally with a publicly held software leader generating USD 1B+ in revenue.
• Prior experience with a software company.
• SAP experience (preferred).
• Prior experience with accounting software implementation projects.

Skills

• Proven ability to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and influence skills.
• Experience with Alliant accounting software is preferred (used by Adobe for Royalty Revenue).
