Responsibilities

• Perform roofing duties for hot applied, torch applied, and cold process systems
• Layout roof patterns for insulation, slope, and drainage
• Install felt paper and membranes per industry and manufacturer specifications
• Operate roofing equipment and manage material usage and inventories
• Supervise and coach apprentices to improve proficiency
• Consult with foreman on project-specific specifications
• Complete detail and finish work, including probing and initialing
• Install basic sheet metal flashings and trim
• Count materials on site and communicate usage to foreman

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial roofing
• Knowledge of gas and diesel engines and repairs
• Experience with welding and use of cutting torches
• Experience troubleshooting running gears and electric systems
• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and agility tests
• Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall
• Ability to lift 100 lbs or more
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests
