Responsibilities

• Perform roofing duties associated with hot applied systems
• Perform roofing duties associated with torch applied systems
• Perform roofing duties associated with cold process systems
• Perform roofing duties associated with the layout pattern of the insulation
• Lay out insulation for maximum use of material and best performance
• Lays out insulation for maximum use of material and best performance
• Counts materials on site and keeps usage information to ensure proper coverages
• Communicates material usage to foreman along with remaining inventories
• Installs membranes per industry and manufacturer specifications
• Supervises apprentices and coaches each to become more proficient
• Consults with foreman on project specific specifications
• Probes and initials detail work
• Completes all detail and finish work
• Fields install basic sheet metal flashings and trim

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required
• Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience required
• Knowledge: Currently 18 years or older, valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required
• Skills: Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall, ability to lift 100 LBS or more, eligible to work in the U.S., successful background check, passes pre-employment and random drug tests, demonstrates the desire to learn the commercial roofing trade, able to take direct commands, demonstrates effective communications skills, able to complete basic academic skills, ability to read and write, demonstrates good motor skills, commits to and practices good attendance, practices and follows industry safety standards, withstands demands of extreme weather conditions, has a sound mind
