About the role

Location: Cratloe Respite Centre, Meelick, Co. Clare. This is a permanent position. At Extern, we believe the support we offer someone should evolve with their needs as they move forward with their lives. We support people to be independent and become active members of their community, and encourage them to have a voice, and a say, in their service so that their immediate and long term needs can be addressed. Extern may form a panel for 12 months for future similar fixed‑term/part‑time contracts.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day to day operations of our respite and family services (outreach, centre based and overnights).
• Work in partnership with the HSE’s Disability Services to support people with a disability and/or autism who may find it challenging to integrate into traditional social, educational or community systems.
• Ensure the highest standards of service delivery with a service user‑centered approach.
• Manage all aspects of the programme in a flexible manner as part of a team.
• Work in close partnership with statutory agencies, community resources and the service user’s family.
• Manage resources effectively and efficiently to meet the requirements of service level agreements with commissioning and funding organisations.
• Manage the delivery of services to the requirements of Extern’s standards of business conduct, including effective management of risk in the safeguarding of service users and families.

Pay

Grade 5 Scale, €51,024 - €64,177 per annum pro rata

Schedule

37.5 standard hours per week (including breaks); flexibility required.
