Robotics Engineer (Remote) — La Paz

Join Rex.zone to design, build, test, and improve production-grade robotic systems across perception, localization/SLAM, motion planning, and control. You will validate performance in simulation and on real robots while improving reliability, latency, and safety. What You Will Do Design and implement robotics software modules in ROS/ROS2Build perception pipelines using computer vision and sensor fusion (camera/LiDAR/IMU)Develop localization, mapping, and navigation stacks (SLAM, path planning)Tune and validate control loops for stability and tracking performanceIntegrate hardware drivers and timing-critical componentsCreate simulation scenarios and run sim-to-real validationDefine test plans, logging, debugging workflows, and performance metrics Required Qualifications Mid-senior experience building robotics systems in production or advanced prototypesStrong Python and C++ skills for robotics developmentHands-on ROS/ROS2 expertise (nodes, topics, services, TF, rosbag)Knowledge of state estimation and sensor fusion concepts (EKF/UKF)Ability to debug distributed systems using logs, traces, and profilersUnderstanding of safety considerations, failure modes, and field reliability Preferred Experience with Gazebo, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, or similar simulation toolsFamiliarity with embedded systems and real-time constraintsExposure to CI/CD, automated testing, and reproducible builds for robotics Compensation Competitive hourly base pay: $30–$50 per hour (USD), depending on experience.
