Roadway Project Engineer (Entry Level)

Garver is seeking an entry-level Roadway Project Engineer to join our growing Transportation Team in Tulsa, continuing the tradition of providing quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and creation of construction documents for a wide variety of transportation projects, including:
    • Typical sections and geometric layouts
    • Drainage and hydraulic analysis
    • Erosion control plans
    • Safety features and maintenance of traffic plans
  • Produce construction documents, including drafting, quantity computations, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Train and mentor younger engineers
  • Manage task assignments for younger engineers and technicians
  • Participate in marketing aspects of project procurement to understand the “big picture” of the business

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI), or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience or internship in consulting engineering with a focus on transportation projects
  • Experience with MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads
  • Familiarity with AASHTO’s highway and traffic publications
