Garver is seeking an entry-level Roadway Project Engineer to join our growing Transportation Team in Tulsa, continuing the tradition of providing quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and creation of construction documents for a wide variety of transportation projects, including:
- Typical sections and geometric layouts
- Drainage and hydraulic analysis
- Erosion control plans
- Safety features and maintenance of traffic plans
- Produce construction documents, including drafting, quantity computations, specifications, and cost estimates
- Train and mentor younger engineers
- Manage task assignments for younger engineers and technicians
- Participate in marketing aspects of project procurement to understand the “big picture” of the business
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI), or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment
- Strong communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience or internship in consulting engineering with a focus on transportation projects
- Experience with MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads
- Familiarity with AASHTO’s highway and traffic publications
