About the role

The role involves managing and enhancing the NEOGOV platform to ensure efficient and secure operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant data protection regulations.
  • Maintaining and improving the user interface and backend systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience.
  • Implementing and testing new features to improve functionality.
  • Monitoring system performance and identifying areas for optimization.

Responsibilities

As a key member of the NEOGOV team, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the platform.
  • Overseeing the development and maintenance of the platform's infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensuring the platform adheres to all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing technical support to users and troubleshooting issues.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of web development technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with database management systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of developers.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of API design and integration.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

Skills

Essential skills for this role are:

  • Proficiency in Python or Java.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
