Roadway Programs Coordinator

The Roadway Programs Coordinator role ensures smooth coordination of maintenance operations, planning efforts, and resource management across county activities. This position supports administrative, budgetary, and technical functions essential to roadway programs while shaping safe and effective roadway operations that benefit all residents.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual work plans and monitor progress using system reports
• Manage county budget activities and advise on funding decisions
• Ensure proper work zone setups and encourage safe practices for all crews
• Evaluate signage conditions and respond to related concerns throughout the county
• Maintain accurate records of materials and oversee stockpile management
• Supervise clerical and technical staff, as well as coordinate daily operations

Requirements

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience as a Roadway Programs Specialist or Roadway Programs Technician Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title); or
• Three years of experience in the analysis, development, and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system; and an associate's degree in business administration, computer science, highway engineering technology, or a closely related program; or
• One year of experience in the analysis, development, and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system; and a bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a civil engineering-related discipline; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training

Other Requirements:

• Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirements
• Must be able to perform essential job functions
• Must pass a background investigation

Schedule

• Full-time employment
• Work hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
• No telework option available for this position
