Roadway Engineer I

About the role

Parsons is hiring a Roadway Engineer I to support major regional transportation infrastructure projects. This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team, where you’ll collaborate with exceptional people to design and deliver critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers and perform roadway engineering and design assignments using engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria for projects of varying size and complexity.
• Utilize drafting and modeling software, tools, and programs to develop conceptual and detailed designs.
• Perform design calculations, including material quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates.
• Assist in and increasingly lead the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects.
• Assist in preparing detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of related work experience with road and highway projects.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation Geopak, and/or OpenRoads.
• Strong ability to communicate and effectively participate as part of an engineering team.

Pay

Salary range: $63,600.00 - $111,300.00.
