Roadway Engineer I

This opportunity involves assisting in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects. You will perform research, development, calculations, design, and delivery in partnership with the project team, applying engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria for projects of varying size and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work within the provided schedule and hours.
• Support the preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Assist in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
• Help organize and administer design files for engineering teams.
• Support engineering teams with tasks such as research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Skills

• Understanding of engineering principles relevant to the discipline.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD or other engineering software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Knowledgeable in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Knowledgeable in OpenRoads.
