About the role
We are currently seeking an Entry Level Engineer to join our Highway/Roadway team in our Richmond, VA office.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning and design of transportation-related projects
- Support senior engineers in a variety of roadway design tasks
- Perform roadway design and field investigations
- Prepare construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Develop technical reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 0-4 years of relevant experience
- Prior internship or relevant work experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing at all organizational levels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $70,000.00 - $125,000.00. The specific compensation offered may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and experience.
