Entry Level Roadway Engineer

About the role

We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as an Entry-Level Roadway Engineer. A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop horizontal and vertical geometry and typical sections
• Roadway Design Modeling using Bentley Open Roads Designer
• Prepare plans, hearing maps, cost estimates, and specifications
• Identify and apply standards, guidelines, and principles in the AASHTO Green Book, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Highway Safety Manual, and other local and national standards
• Assist in the analysis, preparation, or modification of reports, calculations, studies, permits, and designs for projects
• Attend client meetings and assist in client contact and communications
• Field observations of roadway conditions and data collection

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
• EI or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Experience using MS-Word, Excel, and Project

Qualifications

• Transportation design coursework or internship
• Modeling software (ORD) experience
